The TruciolinArte Association, in celebration of Corpus Domini, has chosen to revive the once widespread tradition of the infiorata. Prioritizing environmental sustainability, the large votive paintings are not created with real flower petals but rather with colored fir shavings, transforming the town’s main streets into stunning floral carpets depicting religious scenes and symbols of peace and brotherhood. These artworks are crafted by the infioratori of Torricella, who extend invitations to fellow artisans from across Italy and beyond—connections forged through various events that emerged following the recognition of this artistic and devotional practice as an element of intangible cultural heritage.
